Dogs show us unending love, compassion, and affection. Giving them exercise, socialization, and love back is the least we can do.

Throughout my life, dogs have always been there for me. They understand when you’re excited and when you’re sad. And all they ask for in return is more time with you. I think that’s why they’re so special to me. I understand that we can’t always be with our animals as much as we’d like, but the next best thing is having them be with someone you trust, which can often be the hardest thing to find. That’s why one of our guiding principles here is Trust & Reliability - because if you’re giving us your trust to care for your dogs and cats, the least we can do is give you our reliability.

I started Due North Dogs because I love animals. Dogs and cats have always been a part of my entire life, but I spent a decade and a half taking care of them at one of the largest pet service companies in
Rhode Island. Post Covid, I returned to managing restaurants. After feeling frustrated with my career in that industry, I decided to start my own business! I wanted to provide the best care for animals in the safest way, while also providing a happy and profitable work environment for my employees. Having worked at many places and seeing how low pay and negative reinforcement breeds poor mental and physical health for those working there, I made a decision. At Due North Dogs we will grow responsibly and bring on staff only when we need them, and when we can pay them an above-average wage. By treating our employees with respect, and giving them a respectful paycheck, we are encouraging them to care fully about what they do. In short, a happy worker at Due North Dogs leads to your pup being cared for with ultimate love and affection.

I have big ideas for Due North Dogs, and it all begins here, with nowhere to go but up.
