This is an electronic contract between Due North Dogs, LLC and the named client in the agreement on this page.

Due North Dogs, LLC is a dog walking and pet services company offering dog walks, private hikes, let-outs, in-home overnights, cat visits, and dog waste removal. The company cannot be held responsible for anything outside the realm of responsibilities surrounding the nature of the company. By typing your name in the respective areas on this electronic contract and by clicking “I Agree” at the bottom, you are agreeing to the terms as listed.

This Dog Walking Contract (“Contract”) is made on the day listed above (“Effective Date”) by and between the client named above (hereinafter referred to as the “Owner”) and Due North Dogs, LLC (hereinafter referred to as the “Company” and any of its current employees). The covenants and conditions stated in this Contract shall bind both the Owner and the Contractor, jointly and severally. Whereas the Owner wishes to engage the Company and the Company agrees to undertake the services under the terms and provisions defined in this Dog Walking Contract as well as the Owner's Information sheet, Pet Information sheet(s) shall all become part of this Contract. Any reference to dogs or pets in this contract shall refer to those specified on the Pet Information sheet(s). 1. Relationship and Responsibilities: It is expressly understood that the Owner retains the services offered by the Company. The Company shall be responsible for his/her insurance and all statutory declarations and payments with regard to income tax and VAT where applicable. The Company undertakes to perform the agreed-on services in an attentive, reliable and caring manner and the Owner undertakes to provide all necessary information to assist in this performance. The Company undertakes to notify the Owner of any occurrence pertaining to the dog which may be relevant to the care and well-being of the dog. The Company shall not be obliged to perform any other duties except those services offered by the Company and scheduled and paid for by the Owner. 2. Compensation: The Company shall be paid the amount listed for the services booked. Payment will be collected at the time of booking the service(s) if booked online. If the Owner books the service(s) by any means other than through the provided online portal an invoice will be sent at the beginning of the following week. The Owner will pay the received invoice upon receipt, should the invoice not be paid within fourteen (14) days of receipt a $10.00 fee will be added to the Owner’s invoice. Should payment continue to be delinquent services will be terminated and arbitration may be used for The Company to collect delinquent amounts. 3. Information: Any wrongful or misleading information in the Owner's Information or Pet Information sheets may constitute a breach of terms of this Dog Walking Contract and be grounds for instant termination thereof. 4. Liability: The Company will carry liability insurance relative to the services performed for the Owner. The Company accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Owner's property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement. The Company shall not be liable for any mishap of whatsoever nature, outside of the services booked, which may befall a dog or caused by a dog who has unsupervised access to the outdoors. The Owner shall be liable for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the Company caused by the dog as well as damage to the Owner's property. 5. Emergencies In the event of an emergency, the Company shall contact the Owner at the contact numbers provided to confirm the Owner's choice of action. If the Owner cannot be reached timeously, the Company is authorized to: Transport the dog(s) to the listed veterinarian; Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian; Transport the dog(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible. 6. Security: The Company warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and personal information of the Owner and to return same to the Owner at the end of the contract period or immediately upon demand. 7. Pet Safety: The Company warrants to, in the best of their ability, take care of the Owner’s pet(s) during the time of the service(s) booked by the Owner. After the service(s) provided, the Company will make safe the Owner’s pet(s) and secure the Owner’s address provided for the service(s). 8. Cancellations: If you need to cancel a service, please try and do so no later than twelve (12) hours before the scheduled time. The Company has set digital reminders of your scheduled appointments in an effort to help avoid last-minute changes. 9. Timing: The times listed for The Company’s services are the start time of a pickup window. Your pet’s scheduled service will take place within that timeframe. This is done in an effort to give everyone’s pet their allotted time with the understanding that working with animals is not always perfect. Each service is provided and completed to the best of The Company’s ability, including staying true to the duration listed for each service. 10. Weather: The Company will provide the scheduled service even if weather conditions are not ideal. The Company does however have the right to cancel services due to severe weather which is deemed too dangerous to be outside in. This includes but is not limited to extreme cold, extreme heat, potentially dangerous winds, lightning strikes, dangerous flooding, or an excessive amount of snowfall.
